It has been scientifically proven that working out between 30 - 60 minutes a day at a moderate to vigorous intensity has incredible health benefits. Exercise will help your body regulate blood sugar/insulin levels, it will reduce the risk of heart disease and strength your bones/muscles. Not to mention the improvements in quality of sleep and mental health/mood. Our Eleven Components of Fitness:
Health Related Components: specifically relates to how healthy your body is and how well you are able to perform your activities of daily living.
Body Composition - the percentage of body weight that is considered fat, muscle or bone.
Muscular Endurance - the ability to use voluntary muscles repeatedly without tiring.
Flexibility - the ability of a joint or series of joints to move through an unrestricted, pain free range of motion.
Cardiovascular Fitness - the ability of the heart, lungs and blood to transport oxygen to the necessary muscles.
Strength - the amount of force a muscle can exert against a resistance.
Skill Related Components: specifically refers to your ability to perform physical tasks efficiently as it relates to a specific sport.
Balance - the ability to control our body’s position while moving or stationary.
Agility - the ability to change the position of the body quickly and control the movement.
Coordination - the ability to use two or more body parts together.
Power - the ability to perform strength movements quickly.
Reaction Time - the time taken to respond to a stimulus.
Speed - the ability to put body parts into motion quickly.
Each workout and personalized fitness plan will incorporate each one of these components. This will help maximize each one of your sessions and help you reach your fitness goal.
